Learning a Bit About the Location of Camberley - Surrey

Another town located in England is Camberley - Surrey, only a few short miles to the south west of London. A great location for people who go back and forth to London for work. Home of many suburbs that include Yorktown, Old Dean and Crawley Hill.

Originally this area was actually known as Yorkton when it was first made. Location of the Royal Military Academy that has been in this location from the nineteenth century. The nineteenth century was had a large growth in population in this area.

The Staff College would be added to the east of the Academy and also a hotel named Cambridge would be added in the area. You can hear the town of Camberley mentioned during the original film Lord of the Flies. It has since grown to be the biggest town in this area.

Though Frimley which is a small town close to this location is separate, many visitors will normally think they are the same town. There is a huge shopping center located in this area that will allow the visitor easy shopping. While also part of Camberley is Old Dean a big housing estate.

If you are a Doctor Who fan you will see the Royal Academy in one of the shows, The Warkeeper's Crown. There are also a theater located in this town, and a football club for sports fans. There is also a public library to research a bit more about the history of this great location.

Just a bit of side trivia on this location, the homes here have the highest CO2 level of any location in the UK. Coming in at 28.05 tonnes, while the second closes would be South Shields at 18.36 tonnes.

Travel into this area is easy, with many routes by land and air provided. Two small airports service the area, plus with it being fairly close to Central London you know there are a lot of roads to get to this location.
